Privacy Policy
Planet Cheer collects relevant data from parents booking through our Class4Kids booking system. Some of this information is necessary for processing class placements and payments (full names, athlete's DOB & parents contact details). Please note that your financial information for card payments is collected by Class4Kids, Planet Cheer has no access to this information. Some information is collected to ensure the safety of all athletes (emergency contact details & any relevant medical information) - these details are always kept strictly private and only visible to lead coaches. Some information is collected to help the club run smoothly and help with marketing (registration questions).
When booking your athlete in for classes, you will be asked to select whether you give permission for photos and videos of your athlete to be used by Planet Cheer in limited ways - on social media (Planet Cheer pages as well as individual coach pages) and for marketing purposes. You have a right to decline this permission. If your athlete attends any of our recreational classes and you decline photography/videography permissions - they will never have photos or videos taken of them by Planet Cheer.
If your athlete is in a competition team - there will be instances when they are in photos & videos even if permission for use for social media and marketing is declined. Coaches need to video competition routines to review in detail and make suitable corrections - this must feature all athletes. However, these videos will never be shared or published anywhere and will be deleted once they have been used for coaching purposes. Photos or videos of your athlete at class will never be shared by Planet Cheer or any coaches. Your athlete will also be photographed and filmed at events both by DMC spectators/parents/coaches & professional photographers/videographers - there is no way to prevent this, as it is a public event. The official photographers & event producers may also use images of your child on their own social media pages and website. Planet Cheer and coaches will also use pictures and videos of teams on social media after each event. By participating in these events, you are agreeing to your athlete's data being used in this way. If your athlete is in a competition team, their personal data (full name, DOB & sometimes parent's email address) will be shared with event producers to facilitate their entry.
You have the following rights in respect to you and your athlete's data held by Planet Cheer:

Right to restrict processing.
Right to object.
